Egg Osmosis Lab

Students are investigating osmosis of a cellular membrane using eggs. They sat in vinegar for 3 days to dissolve the shell and got bigger, then corn syrup for two days and got smaller and finally colored water, which they got bigger again. We will discuss isotonic, hypertonic and hypertonic solutions and the semi-permeable membrane of cells. A fun lab indeed.
