September 3rd

For the next few weeks students are writing a children's book on the structure and function of cells. Students will write original stories and draw original illustrations. The books will be shared in class and the class will vote on the best ones. Then as a class period all science classes will go to the LGI on September 23rd and share these books together. Awards will be presented for most original story, best art work and many more. The award winning books will then be presented to the students at Griffin Elementary School and donated to their classroom libraries.

This is the first PBL of the school year. Students chose their own team members and are already in full swing creating and brainstorming on their books! I look forward to reading them!

These are great examples to look at for children's book style and flow.
